Point Of Sale Integrator is a turnkey computer application with a graphical user interface designed to meet the challenges posed by different trades in the retail industry. The emphasis is on fast-paced transaction entry, whether bar code scanned or manual. Every item scanned appears on a dynamically adjusting ‘shadow panel’ with the quantity defaulted to ‘1’. If you do not have to change the quantity, simply scan the next item. This way you can do most of the line-item entries without using the keyboard. The shadow overlays the list of line items and offers you the capability to edit field values in the current line item, if you so desire. You can easily program your keyboard to insert predetermined values into those fields or to facilitate all-manual transaction entry. Taxes and the total are automatically computed and appear at the bottom upon completing each line item.
A survey feature can be easily turned on to gather demographic information about the customer.

You can customize the flash band on top to carry a message or an advertisement and have it change into something else at predetermined intervals. The contents of the flash band can be linked to the demographics of the customer you are serving, so a message appropriate to the customer’s socio-economic group can be flashed.
All transaction entries are registered in the local computer, which replaces the traditional cash register. With the aid of the Isuru sister product, On-Time Operator, transaction data can be sent automatically to a controller server the moment a transaction is completed.
Transaction information is stored systematically in the controller’s database and optionally, using On-Time Operator's Isuru File Transfer facility, can be forwarded instantly via communication lines (e.g. DSL) to an off-site host computer in XML, ASCII text or hexadecimal format. On-Time Operator’s File Transfer Audit facility can be utilized to verify receipt of data transfers at the destination and trigger Email messages to arrest unsent batches of data.

Systematic, rapid and synchronized gathering and storage of transaction data enhances reliability and integrity of the database, enabling swift construction of queries and reports to monitor the pulse at the cash register in real time. Also, to instantly detect and signal suspicious transactions as and when they occur. Past transactions can be easily brought back and line items in those can be swiftly flagged for refund. Some popular reports like Fast Moving Items, Most Profitable Items, Sales Taxes and On-Hand Inventory are packaged and supplied with the application. Retail trade peripherals like bar code scanners, cash drawers, receipt printers and credit card processors, regardless of the brand name, are fully supported. Payment by credit card, food stamps and discount coupons are all supported.

Before the application is shipped, you can select the number of digits you want in the product ID (UPC, SKU, Stock Unit, Catalogue No., Inventory No., etc.). The software application supports 4 to 15 digits for the product ID. If you do not wish to use bar code scanning, the product ID can have alpha characters.
