| Receiving is handled in two stages. First,
when merchandise is received, the quantities are recorded in a fast-entry
screen. Bar code scanning is fully supported. In the second stage, you are presented with an interface to enter all information that pertains to an item. This information is retained and processed all the way through point of sale. The interface is comprehensive, yet very intuitive. You are furnished with the facility to search through the database to extract/compare information with your current merchandise. Easy methods are provided to copy elements of information from existing items to the new item without having to retype them from scratch. Some skill and training is required to classify and price the merchandise. Large companies utilize many resources to accomplish this. The Merchandise Receiver application has been designed to achieve the same results with minimal human involvement. Shares the same database used by Store Displays, Point of Sale and Physical Inventory modules in the Isuru retail software product range. |
